Locally known as the best all-day brunch joint in Bangkok. Cold pressed juices, good coffees, and all sorts of tasty options, this recommendation is definitely worth a visit.
This pins right up there it’s a place called “Breakfast Story” but there’s a part one to this story it’s actually lunch and Haelee and I just ate at a place just up here we’re in the Mahatun Plaza a place with all kinds of tasty goodies click on Hong Kong Pork King if you want to see part one of this we’re just heading up there for what we like to call dessert but as I tell you more and more about this place you might want to come here for breakfast or lunch or brunch they have all kinds of great things but we’re heading up there for just one thing you’re gonna need to find the little stairwell to make your way up here and then they’re right at the end in the back corner of Mahatun Plaza they build themselves as Bangkok’s best all-day breakfast and I’m going to say that if you’re a breakfast person and you want to get like some really really good breakfast this is one of the best we’ve had here in Bangkok they even have something called Breakfast Poutine for the fellow Canadians out there but they do cold pressed juices fresh smoothies their coffee’s awesome pancakes granola sandwiches omelettes all kinds of different stuff in here but like I said we’re here for one thing.
so this is the probably the best french toast I’ve ever had somehow they make it crispy on the outside and it’s custardy in the center yeah they got blueberries they got strawberries I put a little butter a little maple syrup on top this is the dessert that I was looking for but like I said they have all kinds of amazing things in here we have been in here for breakfast and if you’re looking for one of those hangover classic brunches where they’re going to feed you right come in here the place has super cool decorations there’s several locations around Bangkok we dropped the pin right here at Mahatun Plaza because it’s one of our favorite spots again if you missed it go to Hong Kong Pork King for uh what we had before this french toast and in the meantime 292 baht was the bill so another place that’s not cheap but another place where Bangkok delivers yet again, Bangkok is…wow that’s loud sorry, about that Bangkok just seems to sprout these new places that are quality unique hip cool trendy and yeah like it’s not 50 baht bowls and noodles but man this city just keeps growing and breakfast story is a classic example of that come check them out.
Bangkok, Thailand has some of the most epic shopping anywhere on earth. Many of these massive mall complexes would put their counterparts in Europe or North America to shame. The Holy Grail of Bangkok shopping is IconSiam. This is a newly built architectural masterpiece located right on the east side of the Chao Praya river across from central Bangkok. It has anything and everything that you could think of. Whether you’re looking to purchase something from a luxury brand like Gucci, Chanel, Fendi, Rolex, etc. or simply want a basic Tee from Uniqlo, this place has it all. You can even buy a Ferrari right in the mall if you’re looking to spend some serious coin. There’s also an epic food court on the ground level of IconSiam which features all sorts of tasty Thai treats that you can get at street food prices. One thing that’s actually quite common across many Bangkok shopping centres is to have at least one or two food courts that act more like Thai markets than they do a typical eating area. The food in these areas are both tasty and cheap. The reason that these exist is because the developers or owners of these massive shopping complexes want to drive as much foot traffic as possible inside of their real estate. So, they give significant rent breaks to the vendors that would normally have to compete for space in an outdoor market. What ends up happening is that residents find a specific vendor or restaurant that they like, and make it a weekly routine to go and enjoy some food from that specific location, inside of whatever mall it exists in. The food courts inside of these malls actually become attractions on their own, resulting in more foot traffic inside of the mall.
