Haelee: So good!
Chris: so just on my way out of here and uh this story is all about yeah a super cool place but it’s also about meeting new people we just met a good couple actually let me just take you back inside and she was guest camera person so we’re here now with The Road Less Traveled. Haelee we have a guest camera person, who’s behind the camera who’s who is that?
Gisele: Hi it’s Gisele.

Gisele: Just said hi and offered.
Chris: Yeah, they were eating in here you were with who?

Chris: Soo-hyun is teenee’s best friend here on Koh Samui because she’s gonna take you to places that you would have never found on your own and Gisele did you like it here?
Gisele: Oh I love it, I’ve only been here for a couple of days but I loved it as soon as i got off at the pier
Chris: And what about this restaurant?
Gisele: It’s beautiful, I love how artsy it is.
Chris: Yeah, it’s cool! what do you what did you eat?
Gisele: I got a sandwich with chicken and egg and there was this amazing mustard sauce that just completed the entire thing for me.
Chris: Nice all right well thanks for being our guest.
Gisele: Thank you.
Chris: So this place is right in the heart of natan what we ate in there was a delicious little coconut with mango and banana and chia seed and pumpkin seed uh coconut milk based warm little treaty treat thing. I had a falafel and hummus wrap and then I had this hummus toast with warm kale on top they have all kinds of great vegan options in here, the space itself is super funky really it’s done up by uh Peter and Pat is who I believe it is, they’ve designed everything one’s an artist one’s an architect and this is a three level place the main level is this restaurant that’s really done up beautifully as you’ll see and then the second level is a yoga studio and the third level is actually a uh a theater where sometimes they have plays and everything in there but uh but this place is called The Road Less Traveled and it would be less traveled if you didn’t have teenee because look nondescript main street heading in here to natan, I’m telling you you wouldn’t have found this place without teenee so click on the map icon and get yourself in here for some amazing healthy food in a super funky art space.
Additional Information
Bangkok, Thailand has some of the most epic shopping anywhere on earth. Many of these massive mall complexes would put their counterparts in Europe or North America to shame. The Holy Grail of Bangkok shopping is IconSiam. This is a newly built architectural masterpiece located right on the east side of the Chao Praya river across from central Bangkok. It has anything and everything that you could think of. Whether you’re looking to purchase something from a luxury brand like Gucci, Chanel, Fendi, Rolex, etc. or simply want a basic Tee from Uniqlo, this place has it all. You can even buy a Ferrari right in the mall if you’re looking to spend some serious coin. There’s also an epic food court on the ground level of IconSiam which features all sorts of tasty Thai treats that you can get at street food prices. One thing that’s actually quite common across many Bangkok shopping centres is to have at least one or two food courts that act more like Thai markets than they do a typical eating area. The food in these areas are both tasty and cheap. The reason that these exist is because the developers or owners of these massive shopping complexes want to drive as much foot traffic as possible inside of their real estate. So, they give significant rent breaks to the vendors that would normally have to compete for space in an outdoor market. What ends up happening is that residents find a specific vendor or restaurant that they like, and make it a weekly routine to go and enjoy some food from that specific location, inside of whatever mall it exists in. The food courts inside of these malls actually become attractions on their own, resulting in more foot traffic inside of the mall.
